Recognizing the need for a better twine top for the scalloping fleet, Reidar's developed and tested the all new polysteel rope top. The material used is 9mm "Manline" twisted 3 strand rope. Twisted rope does not retain sand and mud inside the way braided materials do during use, and therefore will retain its mesh-size better. The netting is made on one of the largest net looms in the world, depth-stretched and heat set to assure tight knots and uniformed product. Rope tops are twice as strong as ordinary twinetops with exellent abrasion resistance due to its Polyethylene fiber construction. It has two to three times the life of ordinary twine tops.  |
