REIDAR'S MANUFACTURING INC. Got its name from where it started, in a small garage shop making hardware for boats and vendors; we branched out into trawlmaking in 1991 Among Reidar's origional invention and product was the "Latching Safety Hook" used on nearly all scallop vessels today. U.S.Patent No: 4,813,170 was issued to Reidar for the invention of the "Sweepline Roller Stopper", a chain stopper made to use on roller and rockhopper gear to stop lateral movement along the sweep. This invention sent other gear shops scurrying to come up with other types of stoppers but the invention of the roller stopper changed the way we make roller gear forever. Reidar also invented the "Bolshline Hanging Spacer" in 1986 paving the way for the copy called "Snowmen". Reidar's manufactures these and all the other items described on the top of the page, written in gold lettering, except items with a brandname manufacturer listed with the product. |
