The popular "bolshlines" have been in use on rockhopper sweeps since their introduction in the New England hard bottom trawler fleet in 1990.The Bolshline Spacer was invented and tested on roller gear by Capt. Reidar Bendiksen on his boat, the Gen. George S. Patton, in 1986.
The original spacers where made of plastic and has been redesigned for more durability and flexibility.
The Bolshline Spacer has a copy made from rubber tires called "Snowmen", named so after the people who had to copy someone elses idea..
The Bolshline Spacer is now in use from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia Canada to Cape Hatteras N.C. Reidar's can custom make one for you to fit your existing trawl.
